2008 Henry Fessy Régnié Château des Reyssiers
Bright red berry aromas of strawberry preserve, some pomegranate and rhubarb, a little bit of mineral and warm, dry earth. A light palate that nonetheless has a surprising backbone of stony tannins, enveloped with enough acidity to really get your gastric juices flowing.
I paired this with strawberry-rhubarb chicken, which I prepared especially for the wine. It was awesome.
