Mastroberardino 1995 Greco di Tufo ($17.99) Clear pale gold. Lovely scents of honey and hazelnuts lead into a full-bodied flavor, crisp and tart apples and pears, with hazelnut nuances that mirror the nose. Clean fruit and zingy acid linger in a long finish. A very fine wine, quite frankly an exception to the rule that finds most Italian white wines forgettable; but it's pushing the limits on value. U.S. importer: Palace Brands Co., Farmington, Conn. (Jan. 6, 1998) FOOD MATCH: Marries well with a simple dish of Italian tuna and roast peppers tossed with capers and penne pasta.
