Guelbenzu 1995 Navarra ($9.49)
Inky dark ruby. Delicious spicy aromas, cinnamon and orange peel, dance around a core of ripe black fruit. Fresh, simple fruit flavor with lemon-squirt acidity to give it balance, with that tasty spicy fruit hanging on in a long finish. U.S. importer: Classical Wines of Spain, Seattle. (April 6, 1998)

FOOD MATCH: A Middle Eastern chicken rice pilaf with aromatic spices to reflect the spicy nuances in the wine; fine match.
