Chateau Puy-Blanquet 1994 St.-Emilion Grand Cru ($14.99) Very dark garnet color, clear at the edge. Spicy oak and cedar aromas dominant over light black fruit. Flavors consistent with the nose, simple fruit and lemon-tart acidity with only a faint edge of tannins. Somewhat reminds me of the 1987s, little aging potential but certainly forward and ready to drink. Went nicely with pan-grilled T-bones. Importer: Seagram Chateau & Estate Wines Co., NYC. (June 21, 1997)
