Argyle 1998 Willamette Valley (Oregon) Pinot Noir ($13.99)
Clear garnet, with ripe red-fruit and tomato aromas, characteristic Oregon Pinot. Juicy and tart flavors follow the nose, on the simple side but clean, snappy and fresh. (Aug. 2, 2000)
FOOD MATCH: Another veggie-friendly match like those discussed in our report, Four with Veggie Fare, a fine partner with the earthy flavors of grilled eggplant topped with mild goat cheese.

All my wine-tasting reports are consumer-oriented. In order to maintain objectivity and avoid conflicts of interest, I purchase all the wines I rate at my own expense in retail stores. |
